Winter Travel Basketball dates, times and registration

Welcome to the 2019-2020 Travel Basketball Season!

Natick Basketball Families,

We hope that everyone is enjoying the summer.  Natick Travel Basketball (NTB) has been busy this offseason preparing for our fall programs and upcoming season.

Tryouts for Travel Basketball:
Tryouts for our travel basketball teams will be held over two weekends. There will be two tryouts per grade.  The first tryout for each grade will be held on September 20, 21 or 22 and the second tryout will be held on September 27, 28, or 29.  Please save these dates.

Specific dates and times for each grade and gender will be announced in early September. To register for tryouts visit our registration page.

Skills Clinics for Grades 5-8:
As part of NTB’s enhanced player development program, we will again offer a robust pre-season clinic series focused on the fundamental skills of basketball. These clinics will be offered starting in early September for boys and girls, and will be tailored toward individual skills to elevate each child’s game to the next level.  Registration and additional details will be available soon.

Pre-Tryout Clinics for New Players:
NTB will offer two nights of pre-tryout clinics for players new to our program, specifically 4th and 5th graders who have not previously tried out for a travel team.  The clinics will focus on fundamental skills and incorporate the same drills that will be used at tryouts.  Clinics will be offered for boys and girls in mid-September.  Registration and additional details will be available soon.

Fall Hoopsters for K – 3:
Fall Hoopsters will be offered for our K-3 players starting on October 19.  Registration will open soon.

2018-2019 Basketball Season

2019 Hoopsters

Hoopsters is a series of fun infused clinics for all of Natick’s Kindergarten through 3rd grade children. The focus is on basketball fundamentals (shooting, dribbling and passing) in a non-competitive environment. We aim to get kids excited about basketball and expose them to skills with drills, contests and small games.

Hoopsters includes four grade specific sessions – K, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade – with tailored grade appropriate curriculums. Hoopsters is not a competitive travel basketball league.

For the K, 1st and 2nd graders, we focus on grade appropriate skills and small games each week with the kids playing on 8.5 ft basketball hoops.

In our dedicated 3rd grade session we expand our focus to include both individual and game skills with time dedicated to 3 v 3 basketball games each week.

About Hoopsters

Natick Basketball Teams Helping the Community

This year Natick Travel Basketball has partnered with the Council on Aging to help rake leaves for 13 homes. The owners of these homes have difficulty with raking and picking up leaves. 4th-8th grade teams are volunteering throughout Natick to make the task a little easier for them this year. Below are some photos taken of the players taking time to help their community.
